Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy who was being sought in connection with the alleged kidnapping and torture of two teens following a gang-related shooting at a downtown condo last month.

Police previously said that members of the ‘Young Buck Killas’ gang were hosting a party at a condo on the 25th floor of a building on Front Street near Blue Jays Way on April 18.

At some point during the party, members of the ‘Queen’s Drive Crips’ allegedly showed up and exchanged gunfire with members of the ‘Young Buck Killas.’

Police allege that members of the ‘Young Buck Killas’ then fled and reconvened at a town home on Swansea Mews in the city’s west end.

That’s where it is alleged that members of the gang took the two 17 year old boys hostage after deciding that they had tipped off members of the Queen’s Drive Crips about the party.

At the townhouse, police say the boys were tied to a chair, beaten and forced to play Russian Roulette with a loaded handgun.

The victims, police say, were then taken to two other addresses in the Lawrence Heights area, where they were again beaten and at some point were forced to perform sexual acts.

Ransom demands were then made to the victims’ family members and the teens were released on April 21 when the ransom was paid, police say.

Police already announced a suspect named Quinton Gardiner, 19, was arrested on April 23 and charged with kidnapping-related offences.

Last Friday, police also announced that 51-year-old Michael Hollinger had been charged with one count of kidnapping, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of obstruct police.

Two other suspects, however, had been outstanding, including the 17-year-old boy.

Police say the boy was arrested at an apartment in North York on Wednesday.

He is facing nine charges, including kidnapping for ransom and using a firearm to commit an indictable offence.

The arrest of the 17-year-old comes one week after police sought judicial authorization to release his photo and name to the media.

A suspect identified as Lincoln Anthony Richards, 23, is still wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
