Toronto police say an intoxicated man who hopped into a police cruiser after mistaking it for a cab was arrested last night on an outstanding warrant.
It happened at around 10:25 p.m. Saturday on Hanna Avenue in Liberty Village.
Police say an officer stopped for gas when an intoxicated man jumped into the cruiser.
The 33-year-old man, investigators say, thought the vehicle was a cab and officers later learned he was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant.
It is not known what charge he was previously facing.
