The investigation involves the sexual assault of a young girl he babysat between October 1977 and October 1980.

Police say the girl was five years old when the abuse began.

A suspect was arrested March 25 and police said they have applied the charges that would have been laid at the time of the alleged offences.

The suspect also babysat other children in the Spadina Road and Lowther Avenue area and police said they believe there may be more victims.

None of the charges have been proved in court.

The suspect’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 6.
