Halton Regional Police say they’ve charged a retired Burlington school teacher with a second count of indecent assault on a male in connection with his time as a teacher at Fairview Public School between 1969 and 1975.
Police allege the teacher sexually assaulted students while he taught at the Burlington elementary school, which closed down in the early 1980s. Two victims have now come forward. The first victim contacted police in Dec. 2014, Halton Regional Police Det. John Todd said. The second victim came forward after reading a bulletin about the case released to the public on April 30.
Investigators said they believe there are other victims who have yet to contact police.
A suspect identified as 67-year-old David Cotterell, of West Grey, Ontario has been charged in connection with the case. He will appear in court on June 24th, 2015.
