York Regional Police say the stolen Nissan hatchback used in a shooting at a café in Woodbridge last week that left two people dead has been found.

Toronto police said officers on general patrol found the stolen black 2011 Nissan Versa in the parking lot of a commercial property located at 67 Westmore Dr. in Etobicoke sometime before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

On the morning of June 24, a gunman entered Moka, located near the intersection of Islington Avenue and Highway 7, and fatally shot 24-year-old Christopher DeSimone and Maria Voci, 47, both of Vaughan.

Former Toronto mayoral candidate Rocco Di Paola and another man were wounded in the shooting. Both are expected to survive, police said.

York police Const. Laura Nicolle told CP24 investigators are combing through the car, looking for any evidence the suspect may have left behind.

The car was stolen from the driveway of a home located in the Highway 401 and Centre Street North area, in the Town of Greater Napanee, approximately 240 kilometres away, sometime between 11:50 p.m. on June 18 and 12:10 a.m. on June 19, York Regional Police said.

Police continue to search for a suspect in connection with the shooting.

In a release issued Tuesday, police provided an updated description of the suspect, as well as new surveillance video and photographs.

He is described as a black, standing six feet tall, with a muscular build.

A photograph provided by police shows the suspect wearing a grey and white zip-up Air Jordan track jacket, and what appears to be a blue and black Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap.

Police consider the man armed and dangerous.
