Investigators have identified a man found dead wrapped in a sheet in north Scarborough Sunday afternoon.

Police responded to an unknown trouble call on Passmore Avenue, southeast of Steeles Avenue and Middlefield Road, at around 5:30 p.m.

Emergency crews attempted to revive the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

"It does not appear to be a natural death," Toronto police Sgt. Ken Lee told CP24 Sunday.

In a release issued Friday afternoon, police identified the victim as 30-year-old Brampton resident Harjeet Singh.

“Police are requesting the public’s assistance determining his whereabouts prior to the discovery of his body,” police said in the release.
