Police have identified the victim in a fatal shooting outside a Scarborough restaurant early Wednesday morning as a 27-year-old Toronto man.
Yusef Hagi Ahmed was shot during the course of an altercation outside Tropics Restaurant and Bar on Markham Road near Eglinton Avenue at around 12:30 a.m.
Police previously said that Ahmed ran across the street and collapsed following the shooting.
He was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Two other people were also hurt in the shooting.
A woman, who was shot in the hand, was taken to hospital in serious condition and a man sustained minor injuries.
The suspect has been described as a 20-year-old man with a light complexion who was last seen wearing dark clothing. He was seen fleeing the area on foot, according to police.
