Police have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing that took place in the parking lot of Canada’s Wonderland in Vaughan over the weekend and are appealing for more information in the case.

In a news release Monday, police said 21-year-old Kevin Ramkalawan of Toronto died after he was fatally stabbed around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

An 18-year-old man was rushed to hospital with stab wounds, where he remains in stable condition. Police did not provide his name.

Police said they now believe that an altercation started between two groups inside the park and that it continued in the parking lot after both groups had exited.

Police said more than two people are believed to have been stabbed, though only two were left at the scene.

A large number of people were at the park Saturday night for a special Halloween event.

Police said park staff and security have been cooperating with homicide investigators and that police have received significant information form witnesses who were at the park and in the parking lot.

However they are asking that any further victims or witnesses come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 1-866-876-5423 ext. 7865 or call or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
