Police are appealing for witnesses after gunshots were fired in northwest Toronto.

Investigators don’t believe anyone was injured when the shooting occurred near Finch Avenue West and Milvan Drive, west of Weston Road, Sunday around 7 p.m.

At the time, a black four-door sedan and a silver four-door sedan were parked side-by-side on Milvan, just north of Finch.

When one to three gunshots were heard, the vehicles fled the area in opposite directions, police said in a news release.

Neither car has been located.

Investigators believe at least one of the cars was hit by gunfire, and they’re asking the public for help to locate the vehicles and identify the occupants.

Anyone with information is asked to call 31 Division at 416-808-3100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).

Toronto police have responded to at least five shooting incidents over the long weekend.
