Halton Regional Police are investigating after three teens attempted to rob an elderly woman in a park in Oakville on Aug. 28.

Police say the woman was walking by herself in Bloomfield Park, off Westoak Trails Boulevard, at about 1:30 p.m. that day, when she was approached by three young males.

Police allege one of them grabbed onto the woman’s purse, but the victim was able to hold on. The suspect then grabbed a wallet out of the purse, and tossed it to another suspect.

The other male suspect filed through the wallet before throwing it away and fleeing with the two others. The victim was not injured in the encounter. Nothing was taken from the wallet.

The first suspect is described as a black male, standing between five-feet-eight and five-feet-ten inches tall, about 17 years-old, with medium-length hair, stubble on his face, and a skinny build. He was seen wearing a red and green plaid shirt, a grey and green zippered sweatshirt and dark blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as a white male, standing five-feet-eight to five-feet-ten inches tall, about 16 or 17 years old. He has brown medium length hair and a skinny build. He was wearing a blue and green plaid shirt, a black sports vest with white piping and dark blue jeans.

The third suspect is described as a white male, standing five-feet-eight to five-feet-ten inches tall, with brown unkempt medium length hair and a skinny build. He was wearing a beige t-shirt and dark blue jeans.
