Peel Regional Police are investigating after a man attempted to rob a Subway restaurant in central Mississauga on Thursday night.
Police wrote on Twitter that a male suspect entered the Subway at 20 Kingsbridge Garden Circle, off of Hurontario Street, sometime before 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, and indicated to store staff that he had a knife.
Const. George Tudos said the man made a demand for cash but did not actually get away with any money.
Nobody was injured in the encounter.
He is described as a skinny black male, wearing a black rain coat with a hood and gloves, and a covering over his face.
