RENFREW, Ont. -- Renfrew OPP are investigating a fatal multi-vehicle crash on Highway 17 in McNab-Braeside Township.

Investigators say five passenger vehicles and a commercial truck were involved in the collision early Friday morning.

They say a 39-year-old Arnprior woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her name was being withheld pending notification of her next of kin.

Police say the woman's rottweiler dog was also in the vehicle but fled the scene after the accident, and had yet to be located.

A man and woman from Renfrew were also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
