Police are investigating a trio of suspicious dumpster fires that occurred outside Scarborough schools early Friday morning.
The first fire was reported outside Pauline Johnson Junior Public School near Bay Mills and Birchmount roads at around 2 a.m. and the second fire was reported outside St. Andrews Public School near McCowan Road and Brimorton Drive about 15 minutes later.
The location and time of the third fire is not known.
Police say the fires are the latest in a rash of similar occurrences with school board security reporting two other dumpster fires in the last several days.
Police have not yet determined whether there is a connection between the blazes.
