Toronto police say an eight-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by an unknown man while she was shopping with her parents in Toronto’s Thorncliffe Park neighbourhood.

Police say the girl reported she was approached by a man from behind and sexually assaulted at about 11:15 a.m. on Monday.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction.

He is described as a brown-skinned male, 50-60 years old, with a moustache. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black button-down jacket and blue jeans.
