Police are warning residents to be on the lookout for a man who has posed as a fire inspector and charged businesses a fee to inspect their fire equipment.

Police say the man has attended businesses in 11 Division between April and October of this year.

It is alleged that the man claimed to be a fire inspector and then charged the businesses a fee to inspect their fire equipment.

Police say the man would then issue fraudulent receipts in the name of “TNT Fire” or “TNTFIRE+SAF”

Police are urging anyone who may have had equipment inspected by the man to ensure that it is functioning properly.

A description of the man has not been released at this time.
