Police are looking for two male suspects in connection with an armed robbery at a Greektown subway station early Tuesday morning.

The suspects, one of them armed with a gun, entered Donlands Station at around 12:40 a.m. and obtained a quantity of cash, metropasses and tokens from the collector before fleeing the scene northbound along Donlands Avenue.

The robbery came just three days after a single male suspect armed with a gun robbed collector booths at both Chester and Rosedale stations and less than a month after another armed robbery involving two suspects at Castle Frank Station.

It is not immediately clear if the incidents are related but police say they are looking into the possibility.

Meanwhile, Union leader Bob Kinnear told CP24 on Tuesday morning that talks are underway with the TTC on how security can be improved for collectors.

“Since the most recent robberies last week we have been in discussions with the TTC to try and look at ways in which we can reallocate some of the staffing we have to ensure that we can improve visibility, particularly late at night,” he said. “It is not only to improve safety for our collectors but for the travelling public as well.”

The first suspect in the Donlands Station robbery is described as brown, in his 20s and about five-foot-eleven. He was last seen wearing a blue spring jacket with a red bandana across his face.

The second suspect is described as black, in his 20s and about five-foot-eleven. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and was the one carrying the handgun.

Police say there were no reports of injuries as a result of the robbery.
