Police have arrested a 27-year-old Brampton man in connection with a sexual assault at a downtown Toronto hotel.
According to police, the suspect met a 25-year-old woman at a nightclub in the King Street West and Portland Street area on July 18 and proceeded to escort her to a nearby hotel where he booked a room.
Police allege that the suspect then sexually assaulted the woman inside the room.
Police further allege that the woman has no recollection of meeting the man or arriving at the hotel and believes that she may have been drugged.
Moazzam Tariq was arrested on July 20 and charged with one count of sexual assault.
Police say they believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
