Police have released surveillance camera images of a suspect who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl after following her into a North York apartment.

According to police, the girl was followed into a residential building in the Graydon Hall Drive and Don Mills Road area at around 7:10 p.m. on Sunday by a man claiming to have forgotten his keys.

Once inside, police allege that the man began to engage the girl in an inappropriate sexual dialogue.

Police say the girl then boarded an elevator but was followed by the man, who proceeded to sexually assault her.

Following the assault, the girl was able to exit the elevator, leaving the man behind.

The incident was then reported to police.

The man is described as Asian, in his mid-40s, about five-foot-nine and 200 lbs. with a tanned complexion, a stocky build and short, straight dark-brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a yellow T-shirt with a large red logo, black pants, a black baseball cap with a red logo and gloves.
