Toronto police have released surveillance footage in their investigation into a targeted shooting outside a Korean restaurant in Willowdale earlier this week.

The shooting happened at around 2:14 a.m. on July 26, leaving a man in his 30s with serious injuries.

In the video released by police, a man is seen approaching the front of the Owl of Minerva on Yonge Street, just south of Church Avenue, on foot. He then stops and unloads several rounds from a handgun through the front windows of the restaurant.

A black four-door sedan with its four-way flashers on pulls up immediately afterward and the man runs over and jumps into the vehicle before it speeds away southbound on Yonge Street.

The man in the video is described as being between 20 and 30 years of age, black, with a thin build and neck-length braided hair.

Police are appealing to anyone who has information about the shooting or who may have dashcam or other video of the incident or vehicle to contact investigators at 416-808-3200 or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
