Toronto police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect accused of robbing a 91-year-old woman in Kensington Market on Sunday.

Police say the suspect followed the woman into a building near Spadina Avenue and Oxford Street and after a brief struggle, snatched the woman’s purse off of her walker.

The man has been described as a white male, between 20 and 25, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with blue shorts, carrying  a white backpack with a black material or pattern.

Officers have released security camera footage of the incident on the police service’s YouTube channel.
