Toronto police are searching for suspects after a stabbbing in Scarborough on Tuesday night.

Paramedics were called to Birchmount Road and Sheppard Avenue East shortly before 6 p.m. and found two men in their 20s who had been assaulted.

One male, Toronto EMS says, was stabbed in the torso and the other had a large head wound. Both were taken to a local trauma centre with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Police say there are at least four suspects involved in the incident but none have been located at this time. The police service’s K9 unit was called in to assist with the investigation and officers are searching for video footage.

Police do not have an update on the condition of the victims at this time.
