A 22-year-old man who went missing in Markham over the weekend has been found in good health, York Regional Police confirmed Monday night.

Curtis Stillie, of Whitchurch-Stouffville, was last seen at a home near 11th Concession north of Steeles Avenue East at around 2 a.m. on Aug. 23.

He was located a short time ago, police said, though specific details on where he was located were not immediately provided.

“He is in good health, and currently speaking with police,” York police Const. Mike Quirk told CP24. “We’re trying to piece together his background and where he’s been.”

Police had been concerned Stillie may have been injured in a minor collision prior to his disappearance.

A command post was set up and officers with dogs scoured the area Monday where the young man went missing.

“There was a large amount of manpower,” Quirk said. “We’ve been running a search for approximately 28 hours straight.”
