A 12-year-old girl is back home with her family after she disappeared from her Markham home early Saturday.
The girl’s family notified police after she disappeared from their home in the Highway 48 and 16th Avenue area shortly after 12 a.m. on Jan. 2.
Police said it was out of character for her to go missing and that her family was concerned for her safety.
The girl was finally reunited with her family at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. It was not immediately clear where she had been.
