Toronto police are asking for help identifying a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted while waiting for a bus in the Runnymede area.

Police say the incident happened on Aug. 24 at around 4:35 a.m.

A 28-year-old woman was waiting for a bus in the Jane Street and St Johns Road area when a man approached her from behind. The man grabbed the woman, threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her, police said.

He then took off westbound on St Johns Road.

The suspect is described as black, standing five-foot-nine, weighing around 177 pounds with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, white running shoes, and a blue baseball hat.
