Toronto Police are seeking to identify the driver of a vehicle who pulled alongside a moving transport truck and fired a handgun in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 on Tuesday afternoon.
At about 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, investigators say the driver of a transport truck heading east in the express lanes of Highway 401 spotted a small blue car with two people inside pulling ahead and in front of it.
The blue car moved to the right of the truck and slowed down, allowing the truck to pull ahead.
At this point investigators say the driver of the blue car drew a handgun and fired an unknown number of shots at the truck.
The truck driver then pulled his vehicle onto the shoulder and the small blue car continued eastbound on Highway 401.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt tweeted at the time that police were searching for a blue four-door Audi sedan.
