Toronto police are looking for a car, its driver and a woman who they believe may be in danger after she was seen exiting the vehicle, assaulted and forced back into it by the driver.

The dark 2004 Mercedes Benz E320, with license place BNPC 119, was seen driving erratically on the southbound DVP near York Mills Road shortly after midnight on Dec. 11.

“The driver appeared to be assaulting a woman in the car,” police said in a written statement.

The woman got out when the driver exited onto York Mills Road, but the driver also got out, assaulted her again and forced her back into the car, according to police.

Investigators believe the woman may have suffered serious injuries and are concerned for her safety. They say she was wearing a black winter jacket with a hood. She is described as black with long, curly, black hair and approximately 25 years old.

Police are asking anyone with information about the car, the driver or the woman to call them at 406-808-3300 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
