TORONTO - Police in Toronto are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect following the attempted abduction of a 10-year-old girl.

Police say the alleged abduction attempt occurred Wednesday morning in east-end Toronto, in the Greenspire Road and Littleleaf Drive area.

Investigators say the girl was walking to school when a man in a silver, four-door vehicle offered to give her a ride on behalf of her father.

When the girl ignored the man and continued walking, he called out to her a second time, then got out of his vehicle and approached her.

The girl ran away and reported the incident when she got to school.

The man is described as black, five-foot-seven, medium complexion, 20 to 30 years old, bald, with a goatee, British accent, and tattoos down both arms.
