Police say three suspects charged in connection with two east-end home invasions last year have also been charged in connection with an armed robbery in Mississauga.

Investigators say on Dec. 15, 2015, a man was walking in the area of Mavis Road and Eglinton Avenue West when he was approached by three males.

Carrying expandable batons and knives, the suspects, police allege, forced the man into a vehicle, drove to his home, and was forced to surrender his debit and credit cards.

Police say the suspects then drove the man around to multiple ATM machines, where he was forced to withdraw money.

The victim, police say, was warned not to contact police and then released.

Last week, two men and one teen were arrested in connection with the case.

Mississauga resident Mithun Ratnakumar, 19, 19-year-old Thapisan Navaneethan, of Markham, and a 17-year-old boy from Mississauga, who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, were charged with armed robbery, kidnapping, forcible confinement, breaking and entering and two counts of extortion.
