Toronto police will hold a news conference Friday afternoon where they plan to release security camera footage of a suspect in the murder of 34-year-old Sylvia Consuelo.

Consuelo was found dead in her Smithfield-area apartment located at 121 Kendleton Drive, near the intersection of Kipling Avenue and Albion Road, on the morning of Saturday, Jan. 30 at 4:45 a.m.

Police told CTV News a group of her “acquaintances” had gone to her apartment to visit her, and discovered her body.

A post-mortem examination was completed but police have not released Consuelo’s cause of death.

The press-conference is expected to get underway at 2 p.m. at Toronto Police Headquarters.
