RICHMOND HILL, Ont. - York Regional Police say they're looking for witnesses to a fatal collision involving a cyclist in Richmond Hill, Ont.

Investigators say a 76-year-old man from Richmond Hill was riding his bicycle on the evening of Jan. 30 when he was struck by a car.

They say the driver checked on the cyclist, and the cyclist said he was fine, asked that police not be called and went home.

The following day, a family member contacted police to report the collision and officers took a report, and encouraged the man to go to hospital -- which he did.

The man's injuries worsened to life threatening on Feb. 1 and he died in hospital on Feb. 6.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police are being asked to come forward.
