There are lots of road closures drivers should be aware of when getting about town this long weekend.

Here’s a list:

Pride Festival

The annual Pride Week Festival will see a number of major road closures downtown as thousands flock to the festivities. The closures begin Friday.

Church Street Pride Festival
- Church Street from Carlton Street to Hayden Street will be closed from Friday, June 28 at 6 p.m. to Monday, July 1 at 6 a.m.

Queen Street closure
A section of Queen Street from University Avenue to just east of York Street will be closed to eastbound traffic for two weeks from 6 a.m. on June 29 until 6 p.m. on July 16. Westbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane during that period.

Alternative eastbound routes for motorists include Adelaide Street, King Street and Dundas Street. Alternative northbound routes include Bay Street and University Avenue.

Transit
Subway service will not be running between Downsview and Wilson stations Saturday due to scheduled track maintenance work. Shuttle buses will be running every three minutes between Downsview and Wilson stations instead.

Pride Parade
- All roads in the route will be closed for varying periods between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. (The parade takes place from 2 to 6:30 p.m.)

Participants will gather at Rosedale Valley Road, from Bayview Avenue to Park Road. From there, the parade begins at Church Street and Bloor Street East, proceeds west on Bloor Street East to Yonge Street, south on Yonge Street to finish at Dundas Street.

Pride Concert at Yonge-Dundas Square
- Yonge Street from Dundas Street to Queen Street will be closed from 1 p.m. to midnight.

MONDAY

Canada Day Celebrations at Mel Lastman Square
- Yonge Street, from North York Boulevard to Park Home Avenue, will be closed on Monday, July 1 from 7 to 11 p.m.

Canada Day Celebration at Queen’s Park
- Queen’s Park/Queen’s Park Circle from College Street to Hoskin Avenue will be closed on Monday, July 1 from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Canada Day Parade in Scarborough
- Brimley Road will be closed from Progress Avenue to Ellesmere Road from 1 to 6 p.m. and from Ellesmere Road to Lawrence Avenue East from 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 1.

- Ellesmere Road will be closed from Midland Avenue to McCowan Road from 4 to 5 p.m.

Transit
- The TTC will be running on a holiday schedule Monday
