The American League Championship Series heads to Toronto tonight and will result in some traffic tie-ups in the downtown core.

Game 3 kicks off at the Rogers Centre tonight at 8 p.m. and an estimated 50,000 people are expected to attend.

At the end of the game, the following road closures will be in place to help pedestrians and motorists leave the dome:

  • Blue Jays Way will be partially closed for southbound traffic from Front Street to Navy Wharf
  • Bremner Boulevard will be partially closed for eastbound traffic from Spadina Avenue to Rees Street
  • Bremner Boulevard will be completely closed to eastbound traffic from Rees Street to Lower Simcoe Street
  • Bremner Boulevard will be completely closed to westbound traffic from Lower Simcoe Street to Navy Wharf
  • Rees Street will be completely closed to northbound traffic from Lakeshore Boulevard to Bremner Boulevard.

Police are encouraging people to use public transit or carpool if travelling in the area tonight.
