Sections of two streets in Yorkville were shut down for several hours Tuesday after a pane of broken glass was spotted high up on the Four Seasons Hotel.

Hotel spokesperson Halla Rafati said a crack was found in a window on the east side of the building, located at 60 Yorkville Avenue, at about 12:40 p.m.

A CP24 reporter at the scene said the broken pane could be seen about 51 floors above ground.

“At this time no glass has fallen, but cars and pedestrian traffic are not allowed on the east side of the building and on to Yorkville Ave. between Bay and Yonge streets until the area is fully clear,” Rafati said.

Scollard Street was also been closed between Bay and Yonge streets while a crew worked to remove the cracked window.

No glass has fallen and no injuries have been reported.

The road reopened at around 5 p.m.
