A number of scattered power outages have been reported throughout the city.

The first outage affected about 1,700 customers between York Mills Road and Finch Avenue to the north and Leslie Street and Don Mills Road to the east. According to Toronto Hydro, the outage should be repaired by 3 p.m.

The second outage is affecting about 450 customers between Lawrence Avenue and Wilson Avenue to the north and Dufferin Street and Keele Street to the west. According to Toronto Hydro, the outage initially effected about 2,900 customers. Power is expected to be restored in full by around 2 p.m.

The cause of the outrages is not known, but an official with Toronto Hydro told CP24 a problem with an underground cable may be responsible for the second outage.
