Toronto police have released the name of a man found dead in his Parma Court home over the weekend.
Arthur Kent Taylor, 51, was found Sunday inside a home on Wakunda Place, located near Victoria Park Avenue and O’Connor Drive with obvious signs of trauma.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 51-year-old suspect identified as Robert Bailey was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He was expected to make a court appearance Monday morning.
Taylor’s murder is one of five homicides that took place in a 24-hour span in the Greater Toronto Area this weekend.
A 22-year-old was stabbed to death in Woodbridge early Sunday morning after a fight broke out at an entertainment complex on Interchange Way. Another man was also wounded but is expected to survive.
In Richmond Hill, a 77-year-old man was found dead in his home. Police say they are looking to speak to his 30-year-old son who may have been the last person to see him alive.
In Mississauga, two men, a 17 year old and a 33 year old, were killed in separate incidents Sunday.
