Police north of the city are looking to identify a suspect in connection with three recent sex assaults in Newmarket.

News of the latest series of sex assaults comes following a week that saw police release multiple videos of a suspect wanted in connection with five other incidents in the town’s north end.

Police do not believe the suspect sought in connection with those assaults is the same man responsible for the three attacks described in the release issued today.

According to police, in all three incidents the man grabbed the female victim’s face and either kissed or attempted unsuccessfully to kiss her.

The first incident occurred on Aug. 31 shortly after 1 a.m.

The victim, a 21-year-old woman, was waiting for a bus near Yonge Street and London Road when she was approached and grabbed.

On Sept. 30, shortly before 2:30 p.m., a 16-year-old girl was walking in the area of Doubletree Lane and Austin Paul Drive when she was approached and grabbed.

A 20-year-old woman was the victim of the latest attack when she grabbed near Mulock Drive and Doubletree Lane at around 6 p.m. on Oct. 8.

Police provided a description of a suspect and a suspect vehicle in Friday’s release.

The man is described as having olive skin, 20 to 30 years old, approximately five-foot-10, with a stocky build and broad shoulders.

He is further described as having a round, chubby face, short black hair, and a small sparkly stud earing in one ear.

The vehicle is described as an older model, four-door Toyota Camry or Mazda 626. It is believed to be either light grey or silver, with possible damage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 866-876-5423 ext. 7071 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
