A stretch of Bathurst Street was shut down for hours after a vehicle struck a pole overnight, bringing down wires.

It happened at Bathurst Street and Burton Road around 3:30 a.m.

Toronto police said a vehicle struck a light standard, bringing it down into the road and damaging overhead wires.

Police closed down Bathurst Street between Heathdale and Burton roads as the collision was cleaned up. The road reopened around 11 a.m.

It’s not clear what caused the collision.

No serious injuries were reported.

Police are investigating.
