All southbound lanes of Highway 400 approaching Teston Road have reopened following a crash Tuesday afternoon.

Ontario Provincial Police say that a silver Hyundai was travelling southbound on the highway when it struck the rear of an MTO vehicle shortly before 1 p.m.

An air ambulance was called to the scene to transport the female driver of the vehicle to hospital with minor injuries.

The male driver of the MTO truck was not injured.

The northbound lanes were also closed temporarily to allow the helicopter to land at the scene.

Anyone with information on the collision is being asked to contact investigators at 905-841-5777.

Meanwhile, a man was airlifted to hospital after a crash involving a car and transport truck late Tuesday morning.

It took some time for firefighters to free the trapped man from the car, which was destroyed in the crash.

Emergency personnel were called to the scene on Appleby Line, near the Burlington-Milton boundary, at about 11:30 a.m.

Appleby Line is closed between Derry Road and Britannia Road for a police investigation.
