The 47th annual Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean Carnival Parade will take over the lakeshore on Saturday, resulting in a number of road closures that may make getting around the city a little harder.
Here is a list of the closures that will be in effect:
- The westbound lanes of Lake Shore Boulevard will be closed between Strachan Avenue and Parkside Drive from 1:30 a.m. on Saturday until 6 a.m. on Sunday.
- The eastbound lanes of Lake Shore Boulevard will be closed between Colborne Lodge and Strachan Avenue from 1:30 a.m. on Saturday until 6 a.m. on Sunday.
- Dufferin Street will be closed in both directions south of Springhurst Avenue from 1:30 a.m. on Saturday until 6 a.m. on Sunday.
- The exit ramp from the eastbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway to Jameson Avenue will be closed from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday
- The ramps from Jameson Avenue and British Columbia Road onto the eastbound Gardiner Expressway will be closed from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday.
- The exit ramp from the westbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway to Dunn Avenue will be closed from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday.
In addition to the road closures, several other streets will have restricted access during the parade including:
- Dufferin Street south of King Street West
- Dowling Avenue south of King Street West
- Stadium Road south of Lake Shore Boulevard West
- Queen's Quay west of Bathurst Street
- Springhurst Avenue west of Jameson Avenue
- Springhurst Avenue, east of Jameson Avenue
The parade begins at Exhibition Place at 12 p.m.
