Toronto police say they are investigating after multiple boxes of shotgun shells were found inside a donation bag at a Goodwill store in Scarborough.

According to investigators, staff at Goodwill’s 350 Progress Road location came across four boxes of the ammunition after they were pulled from an overnight charity bin and notified police.

Police say they have seized the shells and are trying to figure out where they came from.

Anyone looking to get rid of unwanted ammunition is asked to contact police, who will properly dispose of the potentially hazardous items.
