Toronto police are investigating after shots were fired in the city’s downtown core early Wednesday morning.

Police say they received multiple calls from people who heard gunshots in the area of King and Charlotte streets shortly after 3 a.m.

Snoop Dogg was performing at nearby nightclub and according Const. Caroline de Kloet, an altercation broke out at the concert.

She said several shots were fired outside the nightclub and shell casings were found on Charlotte Street, north of King Street.

One male suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene, de Kloet said.

Roads were closed in the area but have since reopened.

No suspect information has been released.
