A man wanted in connection with an alleged sexual assault outside BMO Field following the Grey Cup on Sunday has been arrested, Toronto police say.

According to investigators, on Sunday at around 10:10 p.m., just as the Grey Cup was wrapping up, a 32-year-old woman was outside the main entrance of the stadium when a man approached her from behind and allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The alleged incident, police say, was captured on camera and police released a photograph of the suspect on Tuesday night.

Police say on Wednesday, 45-year-old Howard Ferguson, of Brantford, was arrested in connection with the case.

He faces one count of sexual assault and is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Jan. 10, 2017.
