A 22-year-old Toronto man is facing charges in connection with a close-range shotgun shooting in Scarborough over the weekend.

It happened in the Kingston and Overture roads area shortly before midnight Saturday.

According to police, officers located the 31-year-old victim in the area suffering from a shotgun wound.

On Tuesday, a suspect was arrested by police in connection with the case.

Rachard Dario Holder faces 10 charges, including attempted murder, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, and failure to comply with the terms of probation.

He was scheduled to appear in court this morning.
