Toronto police have identified a suspect wanted in connection with the alleged abduction and gang sexual assault of a woman in Mississauga early Monday morning.

According to police, a 25-year-old woman and two friends were in the Dundas Street and Winston Churchill Boulevard area when their vehicle broke down at around 4 a.m.

Two men pulled up in a van and offered the women a ride home.

While driving, one of the women was sexually assaulted, police allege.

The van then stopped and two of the women were allowed out. The third woman was abducted by the men who then sexually assaulted her, police said.

The woman was able to escape, and police were contacted by a passerby who heard the victim calling for help in the Weston Road and Black Creek Drive area.

In a release issued Tuesday evening, police identified one of two men wanted.

Jimmy Minani, 36, of Toronto, is wanted for a number of offences including two counts of gang sexual assault, abduction, and forcible confinement.

Police said he may be driving an older-model red Audi. He is known to frequent the Black Creek Drive and Weston Road area.

Investigators are also looking for a second man known as “Devon.” He is described as black with a dark complexion, standing approximately six-foot-one, with a large build.

He was last seen wearing a hoodie, dark jeans and a blue baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7474 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
