Toronto police have released security camera images of a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault that took place on a subway train earlier this month.

It happened aboard a southbound train leaving Finch Station at around 10:30 a.m. on May 13.

According to police, the 22-year-old victim was seated on the train when a man sat down beside her. As she stood up, she was sexually assaulted by the man.

The woman was then assaulted after confronting the man, police said.

Nearly a week later, on May 19, the victim was at Finch Station when she spotted the man again.

He produced a weapon, police said, before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Investigators released images of a suspect Wednesday.

He is described as approximately 30 years old, five-foot-nine, with a thin build, and black hair.

He was last seen wearing a green camouflage jacket and pants, a beige undershirt, and black leather combat boots.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
