Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman on a TTC bus in Morningside Heights earlier this month.

According to police, it happened at around 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 in the area of Morningside and Finch avenues.

Police said a woman boarded the bus at a stop near Staines Road and Warbler Circle when a man who was already on the bus moved to a seat directly behind her.

Investigators allege that shortly after the man pulled the chord to get off at the next stop, he sexually assaulted the woman and fled from the bus.

The suspect has been described as between 50 and 60 years old and he reportedly weighs about 160 pounds. Police said the man has black hair and a moustache and was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, glasses and a black/brown baseball hat that contained a dollar sign logo on the front.

Investigators said they believe there may be more victims who have not yet come forward.

A security camera image of the suspect has been released by Toronto police.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 416-808-4200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
