Toronto police are searching for a suspect accused of sexually assaulting and attacking a woman with a knife in the city’s west end last month.

According to police, a 49-year-old woman was at a park near Lakeshore Boulevard West and Strachan Avenue at about 5 a.m. on July 30 when she was approached by a male stranger.

Police say the man then sexually assaulted her and attacked her with a knife. The woman, investigators say, managed to escape.

The suspect has been described as a white male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, with tanned skin, short dark hair, a round face, large nose, black or brown eyes, a thin chin strap beard, and bushy eyebrows. The man was reportedly wearing dark pants at the time of the incident.

Police have now released a composite sketch of the suspect and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416−808−7474 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416−222−TIPS (8477).
