Toronto police are searching for two men believed to be involved in a series of armed robberies in the downtown core.

According to police, between April 14 and April 30, police received reports about multiple armed robberies in the area bounded by Harbord Street, Spadina Avenue, Queen Street and Markham Street.

Police say during each robbery, a suspect produced a firearm, pointed it at the victims and stole property and cash from the victims.

The robberies took place between 12 a.m. and 4 a.m., investigators say.

The first suspect has been described by police as a black male with a light complexion who is about 20 to 25 years old. Police say he is approximately five-foot-eleven with a thin building and was seen wearing dark clothing.

The second suspect, police say, is between 20 to 25 years old and is about five-foot-eight. He was also seen wearing dark clothing, investigators say.

Police say anyone in the area between those hours should be alert and aware of their surroundings.
