Toronto Police say a taxi driver has been charged after a 20-year-old man reported he was sexually assaulted in a cab during a trip to Pearson International Airport last year.

Police say that on Sept. 9, 2015, a man in Ajax called for a cab to take him to Pearson.

Investigators say a taxi driver picked him up at a home in Ajax and allegedly engaged the victim in “sexualized conversation” during the drive.

It is then alleged that the driver sexually assaulted the passenger during the drive to Pearson.

Const. Jenniferjit Sidhu said the victim first contacted a Peel Regional Police officer at the airport but could not file a report because he had an out-of-province flight to catch.

The victim later filed an official police report with the RCMP, who forwarded it to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.

The investigation into the allegations involved police from Durham and Peel regional police services, Toronto Police and the RCMP.

On Sunday, 59-year-old Ahmad Turk, of Ajax was arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault.

He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Sunday.

Investigators say they are concerned there may be other victims who have not yet come forward.
