A female skateboarder suffered serious head injuries after she was struck by a vehicle late Tuesday night.
It happened near Morningside Avenue and Sewells Road shortly before midnight.
Paramedics say the victim, who is believed to be a teenager, was struck while skateboarding across Morningside Avenue.
She was taken to a trauma centre in serious but non-life-threatening condition.
The circumstances that led up to the collision were not immediately clear.
